![]() Some of my dreams are probably just as normal or strange as yours or anyone else's. I have those that make me feel all good inside and some that would make even Stephen King curl up in a corner and cry. Then there are subtle learning snippets for life as the other night. In this dream, I was sitting at work and my boss came in with a half-empty jar of beef jerky. Being particularly mindful of what I put into my body, I started to the read the ingredients; searching for those not so savory chemicals most prepared foods contain. To my surprise, the third ingredient was Praising God. Uhmmmm, that is a good ingredient. So during this Holiday Season, may it be Christmas, Las Posadas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and even more around the Winter Solstice, be sure to include Praising God in all your food at this time and throughout the year. What we put into our food, we are putting in our body and I for one would rather eat something full of praise and blessings than turmoil and dread. Dear Mother Father Creator God, oh how we praise you for your goodness. We praise you for our being. We praise you when we are cooking and baking. Help us to be mindful of all the ingredients we put into our food for ourselves and others and may Praise to you, our savior, be a main ingredient. In your many names. Amen. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”. John 6:33 (NIV) “For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” ** Six Holidays, Christmas makes Seven: Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Las Posadas, Diwali, Chinese New Year #ADWG, #Holidays, #PraisingGod, #Cooking |
My writings and my communication are not with wise and persuasive words, but with demonstration of the Sprit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.” Derived form 1 Corinthians 2: 4-5 NIV. I want to share what God has placed on my heart, sometimes often, sometimes not enough listening on my part perhaps. I believe there are many different ways God communicates with us and God has given us many tools. Tools to get closer to God and bring others closer on our journey.
