![]() As I parked the car in the garage at work, the radio station was giving a morning scripture. I listened to the DJ read the verse and smiled, not sure why, but felt I needed to read the entire verse when I got to the office. After reading Psalms 31 in the entirety yet still not knowing why, I read a Facebook post from a friend. My heart then was filled with angst for her, as she was reaching out and sharing her hurt but also shared that during her angst, a song played on the radio, same station @KSBJ, and helped lift her spirit and eyes to God. This is what the verse and song are all about. Reminding us that God sees our anguish and continues to protect, keep and love us. We need to be and stay connected to God and each other. To lift and support, to give and receive love. In this day, reach out to someone in your life and smile at strangers. Share God’s love today, tomorrow and always. Dear Mother Father Creator Sustainer God, thank you for your grace, protection, and love. In your many names. Amen. Psalm 31:7-8 (NIV) “I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.” Song was by MercyMe, Grace Got You. #ADWG, #LGBT, #GodsGrace |
My writings and my communication are not with wise and persuasive words, but with demonstration of the Sprit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.” Derived form 1 Corinthians 2: 4-5 NIV. I want to share what God has placed on my heart, sometimes often, sometimes not enough listening on my part perhaps. I believe there are many different ways God communicates with us and God has given us many tools. Tools to get closer to God and bring others closer on our journey.
